Condition Of Book : This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in blue cloth with gilt title lettering to spine with red and white emblem design to the front cover.Top edge of the book is in gilt.There is a little weakness in parts to the hinge joins,affecting join at title page and frontispiece,with frontispiece attached but now loose.This copy was acquired from the Private Library of Robert Tranter-Owen who served in Malaya with the Manchester Regiment and the book bears his bookplate to the front pastedown.Prufusely illustrated work sepia photographs and many folding maps throughout,some partially coloured. The 42nd (East Lancashire) Infantry Division was an infantry division of the British Army. The division was founded in 1908 as part of the Territorial Force, originally known as the East Lancashire Division,it was redesignated as the 42nd (East Lancashire) Division on 25 May 1915 and saw much action in Gallipoli and places in WW1,8vo 246pp First Edition [1920]
