Condition Of Book: This is a Very Good Copy of this book in Publisher’s original elaborately decorated and gilt embossed olive green hardcover cloth boards with gilt title lettering to spine and with gilt decoration of a fairy to the front cover.Light wear to spine and with some darkening along the spine noted.This is the First US Edition published in New York.The book has maintained it’s original endpapers and this copy has one tiny bookseller’s ticket to the bottom edge of the rear pastedown of ‘Brentano’s famous bookstore in New York.There are NO previous names or inscriptions present.All the page edges of the book are in gilt (AEG) The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness,no loose leaves and there is no spine leaning with all page gatherings remaining tight.Slight wear to spine tips and to the corners of the book and there is one small 1” crack line mark to the bottom edge of the rear pastedown.Illustrated with 8 colour plates including the frontispiece by Henry Ford and with numerous illustrations in black and white.Contents remain clean internally,this is the last but one title in the series.8vo [XV] 336pp First US Edition 1st Impression [1907]

** Andrew Lang was born on 31st March 1844. He was a Scottish poet, novelist, literary critic and major contributor to the field of anthropology.
