Condition Of Book and Dust-Jacket: This is a Fine Copy of this Book in publisher’s red cloth with bright gilt title lettering to spine and stamped lettering in blind to the upper cover with blind stamped cartouche of ‘The Fireside Library’ to upper cover also.In a Fine Dust-Jacket with NO chips or tears to the outer edges of the wrapper which remains in simply stunning condition with 5/- net to spine.Not price clipped and this copy has NO previous inscriptions present.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and there is no leaning or rolling to spine.This copy was acquired from an impressive private collection of Modern First Editions with which very close attention was obviously paid into obtaining books in excellent condition,with this copy being no exception.This is about as good as it gets in terms of condition,with pictorial endpapers,top edge stained a crimson red with other edges untrimmed.A Great copy for the Priestley collector with the d/j coming well protected in a removable cover sleeve.Scarce thus 8vo 318pp First Edition 1st Impression [1927]
