Condition Of Book and Dust-Wrapper: This is a Very Good Copy of this book in Publisher’s blue cloth with gilt title lettering to spine,in a Good Dust-Jacket that has just 3 or 4 small nicks and loss to the outer edges of the wrapper with a couple at head of spine and one along top edge of the upper cover and one to the top right corner of the front cover.The dust-jacket itself remains pretty clean with just a little dulling to rear panel and with some historic lamination that has been applied over the top of the dust-jacket covering most of the wrapper apart from sections of the front and rear dust-jacket flaps.There is a white outline noted to the front flap and some residue glue marks to the rear dust-jacket fold.Price clipped and this copy has no previous names or inscriptions present.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and there is no leaning to spine.A touch of light spotting along top edge of the book.This title was acquired from a very impressive private collection of 20th Century Literature and Fiction with attention paid in obtaining rare highlights in very good condition.This is a the Author’s second novel in the ‘Strangers and Brothers’ sequence.A rare title and the d/j comes well protected in a removable cover sleeve,8vo 393pp First UK Edition 1st Impression [1947]
