Two Volume Set Very Good Condition in Original Blue Cloth Boards with gilt titles to spine and upper cover.One small split of 4mm to cloth at head of Volume One,frontispiece chip to the corner on Volume One but no loss to the plate itself.Illustrated with 40 coloured plates and 8 black and white plates.Journey through Syria and visits to many of the Holy Sites.Former owner’s name to the front endpapers and half title page,slight cracking to the front gutter hinge joins.Top edge of the books are in gilt.Contents remain clean internally.Decent set for the collector with one plain white label affixed to the rear pastedown of Volume Two,Vol 1 (viii) 262pp Vol 2 (viii) 266pp First Editions 1906
