This is a Good Copy of this book in Publisher’s original roan-backed red cloth with gilt lettering to upper cover.The spine is worn with light fraying and there is some weakness to the front gutter hinge join.There are no previous names or inscriptions present.Illustrated throughout with some wonderful old views of the Village,it’s Churches,Abbey,Streets and local dignatories etc.Also loosely inserted inside the book is a Whalley Victory Celebrations Souvenir Programme dated 1946.There is an addenda at the rear of the book stating that ‘Owing to the serious illness of the King,the programme of festivities was not carried out” A rare work of Royal Family and Local History of this beautiful village nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley surrounded by Hills and Rivers.Unpaginated but Circa 70pp First Edition [1902]
