Condition and Status of The Book: 

This is a Very Good Copy in original red cloth with gilt title and decoratioon in gilt to spine with further gilt vignette to the front cover and with blind stamped border scrolls.There is one moistly erased ink name to the front endpaper and with some slight water stain marks to same page.With portrait frontispiece of Beecher Stowe and engraved title page.The book has several b&w engravings and with scroll designed Chapter headings.Small book that measures 8cm by 13cm.All page edges are in gilt.Light wear to base of spine,binding is firm with NO loose leaves.There is a little spotting to endpapers and pre-lims and there are a few sporadic foxing spots indise the text block.‘The May Flower’ is a charming little book and a fictional account of a young woman’s experiences growing up in rural New England.Small 12mo 249pp Plus 4pp of publisher ads to rear of the book [1858]
