Title:  From An Outpost and Other Poems

Publication:  First Edition Published By Erskine Macdonald London 1917…….. ..(See Pictures)

Condition and Status of The Book:

This is a Superb Copy in light tan card covers with red title lettering and with portrait picture of Coulson to the front cover. It’s in such delightful condition due to it’s preservation in brown paper cover which was never taped onto the book so there are no residue marks internally (see picture) No inscriptions present other than previous owner’s address label to the front pastedown.Contents remain lovely and clean.I very much doubt you would ever find a better copy.Coulson was born in Kilburn in London and attended boarding school in Norfolk. He worked as a reporter on the Evening News and then joined the Royal Fusiliers in 1914, declining a commission as an officer and instead enlisting as a private. He carried out his training in Malta, then served in Egypt and Gallipoli before arriving at the Western Front in 1916.Coulson was fatally wounded at the Battle of Le Transly and died the following day.His collected poems were published posthumously in 1917,
