Condition Of Book and Dust-Jacket: This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in blue cloth with black title lettering along spine,in a Good Only Dust-Jacket that has a few small chips and tears to the outer edges of the wrapper showing mostly to spine tips and corners and with crease line and closed tear to the bottom edge of the upper cover,plus there is a brown smudge stain mark to the wrapper along top edge of the rear cover.Price clipped and this copy has one previous owner’s address label to the front pastedown and small remnant bookseller’s ticket to the front pastedown also.The page edges somewhat tanned and spotted.There has been some tape strengthening applied to the underside of the dust-jacket and wrapper has a laminate cover applied at some stage in it’s life history.Uncommon title by this master of the Crime genre.This copy has a firm binding with no hinge weakness,uncommon title 8vo 286pp First UK Edition 2nd Impression [1948]
