This is a Good copy of this book in Publisher’s original blue coloured cloth boards with black title lettering to spine and with black lined border to the front cover.It comes house in it’s original and rather rare dust-jacket,graded Good.It’s somewhat creased,worn and rubbed to the outer edges with numerous small nicks and tears to it’s extremities with some age toning and spotting to rear panel.Not clipped to front flap priced at 7/6 net to spine of wrapper.This copy has one neat previous owner’s name in ink to the front endpaper.Front and rear hinges are firm with no stitching,slight webbing showing through at half title page join.There are no loose leaves.Contents remain clean internally with just a fraction of age toning to the page edges,small crease to bottom corner of pages 99 &100.bookplate to the front pastedown.The book has a firm binding with NO hinge weakness.The book is a family novel about a judge returning back to England from India after 7 years and confronting the issue of how to raise his children after the War,having old fashioned ideals it’s his struggle adapting to the modern day methods of parenthood.It’s scarce to find this title with it’s original dust-jacket still present.8vo 289pp First Edition 1st Impression [1923]
