This is a Very Good + Copy of this book in Publisher’s original cream buckram cloth elaborate decorated boards done in gilt and with the title lettering to both spine and upper cover in gilt also.The book has no former names or inscriptions present.The work is illustrated with 13 beautiful colour plates by Edward Detmold each one with a full page captioned title guard page.The Page edges remain untrimmed.The binding of the book remains firm with No hinge weakness.Originally published in 1901 this book is the first large folio Illustrated work.The illustrations feature Cornflowers,Syringa,The Queen,Pansies,Cherry Blossom,Sphine and Atropos and The Combs to name some of them.Really enchanting colour plates with vivid and bold in their composition.The outer boards remain in very good + condition with just a little age toning to spine.Highly sought after title and a scarce item.Large Folio 235pp First Illustrated Edition {1911}
