Author: Unknown ArtistTitle: Original Album of Some 54 WatercoloursPublication: Bound Leather Album with Binder’s Ticket of Papaterie Leon Nys Bruxelles Circa 1891……… (See Pictures)Condition and Status of the Book and Pictures:Rare Set of Original Watercolours in a plum coloured Leather Bound Album with gilt edges to all the pages and with inner gilt dentelles.Each picture measures approx 17-19 cm by 10-12 cm in size each one mounted onto each page of the album,the pictures are dated 1888,1889 and 1890 and 1891 consist of many German Pictures Heidelburg being one,several scenes of the Rhine one being near Wiestbaden,a Greek Chapel in Wiestbaden,Russian Church in Dresden and then sea view of the Isle of Wight with Pier,St Helena Church,Cottages,The Anglers Pub in Yarbridge,The Needles and Cliffs along Culver Down.Following on the album contains of some 12 wonderful scenes of the English Lake District including Elterwater,Windermere,The Langdales,Derwentwater,The Cat Bells at Derwentwater,Buttermere and also The Falcon’s Crag at Buttermere.The album size is just under 10 inches by 6.5 inches in dimension.Scarce album of original watercolours very well preserved and dates are 1888 through to 1891.
