This is a Very Good + Copy of this book in original green buckram  cloth boards with gilt title lettering to spine and with gilt crest of the East Lancashire Regiment to the front cover.There are NO previous names or inscriptions present.There is some uneven sun fading running along the edges of the front cover and also to the spine.Lovely Clean tight copy internally.Well illustrated with folding maps,plates and portrait illustraions of significant personnel.Impressive work on this Regiment and it’s battalions in The East Lancashire Regiment was increased in size for the duration of the Second World War, although not to such an extent as in 1914–1918. Firstly, prior to the outbreak of hostilities in 1939, the entire Territorial Army was doubled in size, with each unit forming a duplicate.
