Condition Of Book and Dust-Jacket : This is a Very Good + Copy of this Book in green cloth with gilt title lettering to spine and with silver emblem to the upper cover,the book comes housed in the rather rare dust-wrapper graded Very Good with a couple of small tape repairs to extremities and a couple of tiny nicks to base of spine and bottom edge of the upper cover,modest rubbing noted to the extremities also.Price Clipped to the inner flap.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and there is no leaning or rolling to spine.This copy was acquired from the Private Library of Robert Tranter-Owen who served in Malaya with the Manchester Regiment and the book has his bookplate affixed to the front pastedown.Illustrated with a coloured frontispiece of the Queen Mother plus there are several black and white photographic plates and some 25 maps in the text.Top edge of the book is stained green as issued.Great copy to own especially with the connection to an ex serviceman,8vo 554pp First Edition
