This is a Very Good + Copy of this book in original dark blue cloth boards with gilt title lettering to spine.No Dust-Jacket.The book has one previous owner’s bookplate to the front pastwdown and one neat inscription to the same page.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness.Lovely clean copy internally with just a few foxing spots to the fore-edge of the book but none internally.Illustrated with two large  folding coloured maps and there are seom 13 portrait pencil sketches of members of the expedition by P R Oliver at the beginning of the book before the title page,and a portfolio of some 63 black & white plates following Index at the rear of the book.Large 8vo and not so common in this attractive bright and clean condition.First Edition 1st Impression [1937]
