Condition Of Books: A Good Only set in 4 volumes in contemporary calf over marbled boards,gilt lettering to spine.The boards are worn and rubbed to edges and covers,owner’s bookplate attached to front pastedown of each volume.The first Volume contains the 2 fold out facsimilies of Johnson’s handwriting and a Round Robin addressed to him containing numerous signatures.Bindings remain firm.There is some sporadic foxing internally mostly affecting to the pre-lims and final pages of text.Well handled set but still collectable set of four,dated 1823
