Description

Nigel Tranter : The Flockmasters First UK Edition 1st Impression Published By Hodder & Stoughton London 1960….. Uncommon Tranter Title In Decent Order

   (See Pictures)

Condition Of Book and Dust-Jacket: This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in Publisher’s maroon cold cloth with gilt title lettering to spine in a Very Good + Dust-Jacket with no chips or tears to the wrapper, but with light general rubbing to outer edges.Price clipped and with no previous ownership inscriptions present. There is some evidence of a previous removal of a bookplate possibly from the front pastedown, otherwise a very clean copy internally with a little spotting to the fore-edge of the book.A great addition to any Tranter collection, being in such nice condition. The book is a dramatic and vigorous story of a shameful period in Scots History with the return to Scotland of Lieutenant Alastair MacRory of Gleneidart a hero of the Peninsula War who finds his clansfolk being dispossessed of their lands.8vo 221pp First Edition 1st Impression
