This is a Very Good + Copy of this book in Publisher’s original buckram mustard coloured cloth boards with green leather labels lettered in gilt to the front cover and spine.The dust-jacket is graded Good with several small chips and tears mostly along the top edge of the front cover and a smaller chip to the head of spine.Lavish gilt is noted along the top edge of the book.There is one neat former owner’s name and address to the top edge of the fly leaf.This is a rare Signed Limited Edition of which only 250 Copies were issued with this copy numbered 234 and has been signed by Heaton Cooper on the verso of the Half Title Page.Beautifully illustrated throughout with 16 plates in colour with captioned tissue guards and 36 plates in black and white plus there are 2 maps.It’s contents are made up of 5 Sections to include The Southern Hills,The Western Hills,The Northern Hills,The Eastern Hills and The Central Hills.His paintings are the result of many years walking the Hills and then capturing their magnificence in an evocative and Dramatic way.This Limited Edition is certainly very difficult to acquire,rarely offered for sale due to it’s low limitation of just 250 Copies.Binding is firm with no loose leaves an the text block remains clean other than a little spotting to the fore-edge of the book.price Clipped,Quarto (xviii) 120pp Signed Limited Edition [1938]
