Condition Of Book: This is a Very Good Copy of this hardcover book in a lovely Contemporary Full brown tan leather binding with five raised bands to spine and with gilt titles to the 2nd and 4th spine compartments and with Cambridgeshire Agricultural Society to the bottom compartment to spine and dated 1811.Plain brown endpapers.All page edges are in a bright gilt.With patterned borders in blind and with gilt designs to the front and rear board.The binding remains firm with no hinge weakness,no loose leaves.There is some sporadic foxing/browning to certain sections of the book internally mostly from pages 40 to 120.Includes a couple of engraved plates.This is a very interesting copy in that to the front pastedown is a bookplate from ‘Philip Earl of Hardwicke’ (see below) 8vo (iv) 567pp plus Index [1803] Rare especially with the above provenance   

” Born in Cambridge England,he was the eldest son of Charles Yorke, Lord Chancellor by his first wife Catherine Freeman.He was educated at both Harrow and at Queen’s College Cambridge.In 1790 he succeeded his Uncle Philip to his earldom and estates including Wimpole Hall.Hardwicke was a MP from 1780 to 1790 and in 1801 he took office and became Lord Lieutenant of ireland until 1806 where he surrported Catholic emancipation.Created a Knight of the Garter in 1803 and was a fellow of The Royal Society ”
