Condition Of book: This is a Very Good Copy of this book in original green cloth boards with gilt title lettering to spine.Complete with engraved frontispiece and title page.Stated First Collected Edition to the Title Page.There is some cracking to the front and rear hinge joins with a little weakness to certain page gatherings within the book.Reasonably clean copy with some foxing to pre-lims only.Text block seems free from any foxing.There are some engraved chapter headpieces throughout the book.An uncommon title in decent order,8vo 372pp plus Important list of New books for 1870 at rear of the book and this runs to some 22 pages.First Edition [1870]
