This is a Near Fine Copy of this book in it’s original publisher’s binding of green ribbed cloth with vivid gilt title lettering and designs to both spine and upper cover.A superbly preserved copy with brown matrt endpapers,one tiny bookseller’s ticket to the top edge of the front pastedown.There are NO previous names or inscriptions present.Profusely illustrated throughout with black and white engravings.Volume one has five double page coloured maps of ‘The World on Mercator’s Projection,England and Wales,Scotland,Ireland and finally ‘Europe’ Beautifully clean internally with NO foxing and many of the large b&w plates have protective tissue guards.Great copy for the collector and certainly rare in this wonderful condition,Large Octavo (xvii) 510pp Undated But Circa 1864
